Norfolk’s finest turkeys are Premier Gourmet Foods choice. The turkey breast joint has been trimmed and rolled so all you get is that lovely lean, yet tender joint. Ideal for a lovely easy, yet extremely tasty meat for Christmas.

Many of our customers buy turkey breast for all the health benefits turkey can give you, but also as our meat is 100% British turkey and really full of flavour.

If you are looking for a tasty meal that is lower in fat, then turkey is a great option. Turkey is high in protein, iron, zinc, potassium and phosphorus so a great way to gain many of the vital nutrients we need to keep healthy.

Turkey is also a source of vitamin B6 and niacin, which are both essential for the body's energy production. Regular turkey consumption can also help lower cholesterol levels. This meat is low-GI and can help keep insulin levels stable. So overall, a really good choice if you are taking care of your diet.

If you are wanting a nice mid-week meal then perhaps also take a look at either our turkey steaks or even our diced turkey breast - the white meat being lower in kilojoules and having less fat than the dark meat.

 We advise always cooking poultry to an internal temperature of 76*c we recommend cooking stuffing separate, if you don’t please make sure the meat is at a minimum of 76*c rather than the stuffing.
 
Fresh poultry should always be kept at the bottom of your refrigerator and preferably as close to 0*c as possible.
Raw Poultry skin is off white to cream, the colour under the skin can range from pink to lavender depending on the amount of fat just under the skin, this is normal.
